What's up with WIC?!
I had an appointment today at 3:30pm. I got there and a lady said, ",[link widoczny dla zalogowanych];Go into the meeting, they're still talking..." I thought, eh okay and went to the room with all the chairs and started listening to what this woman speaker had to say. I came in at the end of the lecture, and only heard her saying that there are changes in formula for "older babies" and no more whole milk...Stuff like that. What do they mean by "older babies"? And what are these changes? It was quite annoying and weird for me not being able to talk one-on-on with my WIClady. (I was just reciently switched to a new office cuz the one I use to go to closed.) My named was called,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I went into the room with the WICsign hanging next to it. My coupons were already being printed out. I signed for them and she said, "Have a nice day!" Erm...That's weird,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Whenever Iuse to go to the one in Norwood they weighed my daughter, asked how much formula she has been taking, adjusted things n all that.
I looked at the coupons when Igot outside thinking there was going to be baby food n stuff on there, and everything was going to be all way cooler. Wtf? I get less formula and still just 2 boxes of rice cereal. My daughter drinks 11 bottles per can. She drinks on average 5 bottles a day. So that's 1 can per 2 maybe 2 1/2 days...Ugh. They cut my amount of cans. And she doesn't eat that infant rice cereal, she eats baby food from the jar.
Although of course Iknow this is help, and I'm glad I am getting what I am getting. I can totally afford the extra one or two cans that Ihave to buy cash. But what's with these new changes? And not even being asked what my daughter eats now and how much formula she takes to SEE what my baby needs? Etc. Last time she use to take 6oz bottles, now she's on 8oz bottles. They said food was going to be added for older babies. Is my almost 9 month old baby not considered an "older baby"? I'm really confused.
